VTG/ANTIQUE DOTEN-DUNTON TYPEWRITER DESK SIMILAR TO HOWARD HUGHS' ORIGINAL DESK

Vintage/antique, late 30s, early 40s Doten-Dunton hidden typewriter compartment desk. This desk is a mirror creation from the original Howard Hughs, Hughs Tool Company 1939 desk. This desk needs some love, in order to restore back to its original glory, but well worth the time and effort! There is veneer damage, missing divider slats, and unfortunately a hole bored out in knee hole for media purposes, Arrrg! The mechanism of the pullout typewriter table is stiff, but works great, and was built to hold a heavy typewriter. The desk has 5 legs with the bottoms wrapped in brass, and five original (?)floor protector coasters. This is a wonderful, beautiful desk that needs loving attention. It was appraised for ,500, but we are asking for less.
