Vintage Mid Century Cupboard with Silverware Tray
This vintage piece was manufactured in the late 1950s, early 1960s. Made of oak, it has been painted a buttery yellow and then highlighted with painted gilt stripes and laurel accents. The main body is a horizontal cupboard with a set of double doors that open into an open storage space. On the inside, a single mid-level shelf divides the space and runs the length of the piece. The bottom half of the piece is a single long, low drawer. Fitted into the top right is a custom silverware tray with three sections, lined in chocolate brown velvet.
The hardware is classic Mid Century brass handle pulls fitted two different ways to shift the flow of the piece from the cupboard to the drawer. The feet are done in sharply defined ogee brackets. The cupboard measures 36" high, 48" wide, and 18" deep.  This piece is in good to very good condition with only minor signs of wear to the edges and the top surface.
