Vintage Mahogany Federal Chippendale Demi-lune Display Vitrine Inlaid Detail
Beautiful vintage mahogany Federal style display cabinet. Exceptionally nice interpretation of an 18th century Chippendale piece. Demi-lune in form, with curved glass on the upper cabinet's front. The door has a working lock and key. Solid mahogany and mahogany veneers. Beautiful bellflower and medallion inlay on the upper cabinet and the legs. The case has a mirrored back, with two adjustable shaped glass shelves. The case sits on four tapered legs, with a lower shaped shelf. It is not marked with a brand name, but is obviously an upper market piece, the likes of Baker or Karges or Henredon.
In exceptional condition. Structurally perfect. No nicks, dings or other issues. There is some very minor fading on the left side but since the vitrine is mostly glass, it is not all that noticeable. The electric is newer and in good working order.
Measurements: 60.5" tall. 24" wide at the top, 25"wide at the top of the base portion. It measures 13" deep. The base portion of the piece is 28" high.
