Vintage 49-51's Blue Hopalong Cassidy Cloud Design Lunch box w/ Thermos.
This Hoppy lunch box is one of the first manufactured and is called "the cloud design" due to the decal on the lunch box.  It was made between 1949 and 1951.  Manufactured by Aladdin Industries in the U.S. and came in blue or red.  When first produced (1949) the thermos had a black top but Aladdin quickly changed to the red top that comes with this thermos.
The lunch box is not mint but quite good (plus) as the handle has some oxidation and there is a slight touch of rust on the underneath inside of the box where it meets the lid.  (Rust is the bane of all metal collectibles) The cloud decal on the box is in excellent condition.  The thermos shows very,
VERY
little rust at the seam and the colors are still bright.  It does not have the stopper.
Please, carefully examine the photographs as I have tried to show the true condition of both the lunch box and the thermos so you can compare them to other offerings.   This set is a rare find.
