This is the hi fi / semi pro model available in the RS-M Series
The M22 is a true Classic, studio grade , quality deck from the late 1970s. This silver faced version was popular and a work horse during that period.
These feature the FL bar graph meters found in their top of the line cassette decks -often triple the price. The M22s made it easy to get great dynamic range as well as readings in dark or light (backlit) *There is a pic of the VU light in action*
This and the multi heads, super low distortion and Dolby made the RS m22 Comfortable in both pro and home environments. By Providing quality high range frequency recordings and playback also helped it find its way into studios.
Another fact in The M Series Cassette machines is the quantity of releases. The M22 , listed here, was sold in far fewer quantities that its predecessors- the RS M 11 and 18. Therefore these are going to be harder to find . (Especially this classy, all silver RS M22)
The Technics RS-M11, M18 an our M22 are all Great pieces of vintage tech and hi-fi history.
Condition: USED / Good. Tested 100%. No scratchy knobs, switches. It’s older and thus has played and recorded some tape with these heads. This Technics tape deck Works well.
