Description
SS RFM 71981 Murex Chicoreus brevifrons Lamarck 1822 94.6mm F+ with operculum collected in crab traps. Port au Prince, Haiti. From local fishermen. These are some of Bob's specimen shells from his inventory. The marginella collection is his specialized life's work and special inventory. Marginellas were Bob's passion. He wrote several books on them.
I am selling these for Bob's son and will be listing them in the Marginella store section as well as auction. Bob and Betty were family friends. I remember my dad taking me into The Shell Store when I was six years old to start my collection. From that point I started collecting shells in Florida by walking beaches and flats and snorkeling and then started selling specimens in the late 1990's. These Marginella and other shell listings from this collection as well as general specimens from our friends at the Shell Store will begin with "SS RFM"
Our other shells from Bob Lipe Collection are as follows:
We just acquired a collection of shells and books and will be presenting these items for sale. This was the collection and remaining store inventory from Bob and Betty Lipe. Bob and Betty were the key shell people in the Tampabay area and Worldwide for specimen shells and commercial crafts. Bob was famous for his work with Marginella and wrote a book on this family of shells. They were both key figures in the St. Petersburg Shell Club. All listings from this collection will begin with "BL RFM"
We respectfully request that you make a minimum on store purchases. Thank you

SHIPPING.
I can combine shipping for you. If you would like you can bid or buy items and then email me when you are ready for an invoice. If you would like to buy this way please do not pay until you are ready for shipment. Sellers have certain time limits in which to ship once a payment is made in order to not be penalized for slow shipping. If requested, I will hold an order for you if you would like to wait for shipment or need to make arrangements before having an order sent. Periodically I may send an invoice to advise us both of updated totals.
Any questions please email me and I will respond within 24 hours or less.
Overpayment of Shipping charges will be refunded. Items are generally shipped within 1 business day or the same day after cleared payment has been received. Please check your tracking number which is uploaded in your eBay once the item is shipped.
We will start shipping shells to Italy again but the status is under review due to packages going missing previously. Certain coins or other items cannot ship to Germany or Europe, including Italy.
Most shipping for USA packages has been from .50 for single items to mostly less then unless there are many items or by weight.
First class single items ship for .50 --- Packages less than a pound
Anything over 1 pound has to ship via Priority mail --- Shipping charge will be figured on invoice starting at .00 and increases by weight for heavy items.
Ebay has a new Global Shipping Program on the chart below. I will try this method on international packages. If you would prefer regular international delivery it should only be a few dollars more then the listed amount for your region. Please advise at time of checkout.
