SONY BM-23 Standard Cassette Handheld Recorder uses readily available cassettes for recording and playback convenience using a variety of tape lengths. The convenient Slide Switch Control provides instant Dictation/Stop/Rewind/Listen operation with just one finger. Electronic Indexing places electronic signals on the tape for transcribing convenience. Audible Indexing in Rewind and Fast Forward makes it easy to find specific locations on the tape. Metal Case is designed to withstand rugged use while dictating in or out of office, in the car and elsewhere. 2-Speed Operation gives you the option of doubling the usual recording time of a standard cassette, for extended recording sessions. An LCD Tape Counter provides a visible display of tape used or for rapid access to a specific location on the tape. The LCD Battery Level Indicator provides a visual reference of how much battery strength remains. VOR/Voice Operated Recording With Microphone Sensitivity Adjustment permits activation of the recorder only when VOR senses audible sound, to conserve tape and eliminate soundless pauses during playback. Voice Mirror confirms recording status. Three Digit Tape Counter gives you a visible measure of tape elapsed for rapid access when editing and listening. End of Tape Alarm/Automatic Motor Shut-Off alerts the user that the end of the tape has been reached, and conserves battery strength. Safety Lock (Hold Switch) prevents accidental operation while carrying the unit. Hinged Battery Lid prevents accidental loss. Earphone Jack - Mini - for private listening with optional earphone.
