The pc is sgnd w/a scrolled maker's mark on the baseplate which has a few shallow abrasions caused from being prev moved on hard surfaces. The upper part of the vase is nearly immaculate, w/perhaps a few tiny 'touches' found on its sides, which aren't flea-bites or nicks but tiny marks on the clear glass surfaces of the color field's clear glass surround. The vessel has the appearance of an upside-down lollipop, thus its name. It was made at the Malta art glass studio of Michael Harris, who founded the studio in 1968 but who left in 1972. hand blown amorphic, abstract
    'lollipop'
    art glass vessel,
    dated '1977'
and with the art glass studio's self-described
    'tiger pattern'
design. It has an incredibly delicate and thin ascending neck and pouring spout, that rise from a cut and polished split face. The piece is signed with a scrolled maker's mark on the baseplate which has a few shallow abrasions, caused from being previously moved on hard surfaces. The upper portion of the vase is nearly immaculate, with perhaps a few tiny 'touches' found on its sides, which aren't flea-bites or nicks but rather tiny marks on the clear glass surfaces of the color field's clear glass surround. The vessel has the appearance of an upside-down lollipop, thus its given name. It was made at the famous Mediterranean island state of
    Malta,
    glass studio of
    Michael Harris,
    who founded the
    Modernist
    art glass workshop in

    but who left in
    1972,
due to political strife. This glass piece was inspired by
    Harris's
original designs and was created by one of his student proteges who stayed on the island and kept working there. Very fine. A simply gorgeous and killer piece of
    Modernist
    art glass. Superlative.
