OPTICAL TINKERER’S DELIGHT - FUN LENS TRIO FOR THE LENS EXPERIMENTENTER - LOOK!!
Offered in this sale is an optical tinkerer’s delight. It’s a grab-bag lot consisting of three lenses: a Tamron C-Mount 8-16mm f/1.6, a Schneider Componon 60mm f/5.6 and a Rodenstock Rogonar-S 50mm f/8. In various states of cosmetic, mechanical and optical condition, the lenses are intended to spark the creative imagination of photographic hardware engineers/tinkerers, as mentioned above. Each may be useful in and of itself or may be useful for modification to fit your personal requirements or intended experimental use. In the present digital photographic world the enterprising engineer can imagine and improvise hardware, especially lenses, for a virtually unlimited number of dream scenarios.
The Tamron C-Mount is a movie camera lens is in good condition. A former owner has removed the diaphragm so the lens is useful at it’s wide open f/1.6 aperture value to provide minimal depth of field. The Schneider 60mm f/5.6 is in a machine mount flange and has no diaphragm. An enlarging lens by design it will be a superb macro bellows tool. The Rodenstock 50mm f/8 is also without diaphragm and has no mount other than the fine threaded 25mm barrel.
