THE DEEP WATER TROSCHELI IN A PLEASING CONDITION__Murex troscheli is a species one cannot dream of finding himself: it lives deep and most pieces come from the giant tangle nets set in Sogod, Cebu. They live at around 280 m.__We handled 212 “troscheli” in the latest 10 years, but because of our severe selecting while buying this is out of about a thousand pieces viewed. __Not that long ago, a second locality for the troscheli has been found offshore Cagayan de Oro, in northern Mindanao. __This population produced the amazing freak offered here, with more spines than usual and a very short siphonal canal. __Estimation: UNIQUE. 75-125 EURO. A piece to be figured in books, belongs to the kind of “regular freaks”. _
