Mission Oak Arts and Crafts Morris Chair.Royal Easy Chair Oak Mission Morris chair. “The Push Button Kind” Signed Royal Chair Co, Sturgis Michigan and this model was patented in 1915. This Walton/Royal Chair Company patent centers around the hinge and the nature of the steel bar that went up the back of the chair. You simply push the button at the front of the right arm and adjust the recline of the back. This chair also has another feature which is the pull-out footrest which was patented by Jerrold Walton and can be found on many Royal Chair Company chairs. It is uncomplicated, sliding in and out like a drawer on runners. There is also the original wire basket in it into which the sitter could toss things such as books or magazines in order to have them at hand at the next sitting. The makers tag is on the back bottom seat rail. The chair has original finished and reupholstered with Frank Lloyd Wright fabric is all complete with no repairs needed now ready to go into your home and become one of the favorite places to rest.
