    Description

    Up for sale is a Luxman K-331W dual deck cassette player in very good, working condition.  Info is scarce about this unit but i would guess it was made sometime in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
    Its been cleaned and tested (it works & sounds great) but the tape counter doesn't work and the door eject spring assemblies are broken.  *NOTE  The belt is missing which i find odd because all of the other belts are intact and in perfect shape.  Either the belts were replaced at one time, except the counter belt or the previous owner cut/removed it.  There are no remnants in the case so i don't know how to explain it.
    As for the doors, each one has a spring/bracket assembly mounted to a plastic post on the backside of the faceplate.  Due to the constant pressure against them, they have twisted themselves off and aren't repairable.  Heat welding, acetone melting and epoxy/JB Weld have all failed.  There is simply too much tension on that post.  The good news is the door closes and opens smoothly but needs to be coaxed open with your finger after pushing EJECT.
    Head wear is minimal and the transport mech is clean.  This isn't one of Luxman's greatest offerings but still a excellent deck.  I personally use a K-113 and it has always been a reliable and great sounding deck.
