About This Lens Shade:
The Lensbaby Step-Up/Shade is a combination 37mm to 52mm step-up ring/lens shade that provides good light and flare blockage as well as a convenient way to use 52mm filters on Lensbaby lenses. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Standard step-up rings do not provide the added benefit of the lens shade functionality, nor will they work on a Composer as they are too wide to fit into the Composer, preventing the focus ring from rotating fully.
The Lensbaby Step-up/Shade is compatible with all 37mm threaded optics.
Key Features:
• Rear is 37mm threaded to attach to all Lensbaby lenses and optics
• Front is 52mm threaded to attach 52mm filters
• Measures 1.44 inches (3.66cm) from the front edge of the hood to the surface of optic, providing significant protection from flare
• Internal grooves trap stray light to help minimize lens flare
• Compatible with all Lensbaby lenses and optics except the Lensbaby Fisheye Optic
• Specially designed to work with the Lensbaby Composer’s focus ring and recessed optics – third party step-up rings are too wide to fit into the Composer, preventing the focus ring from rotating fully.

This Lensbaby Step-up Shade is in excellent condition and was purchased by me as “New Without Tags” and has also never been used by me. It comes with everything you see in the photos, including the Lensbaby Step-up Shade, Original Box, Micro Fiber Bag and Cleaning Cloth. Please Note: The Micro Fiber Bag is starting to “Flake” to some degree from age. The Lensbaby website no longer shows this item as being available as New or Refurbished anytime soon.
