This antique buffet was purchased from a very local antique shop in Shanghai (China), where my wife and I lived for ten years. It originally belonged to a local Shanghainese family. It features one main storage area, a smaller door, as well as two drawers. It is perfect to store clothes, tableware, dishes, linen, and/or jewellery. This unique vintage dresser makes a statement in any bedroom or living room.
We brought it back with us in Chicago but ended up moving in a very modern condo where it does not belong with the rest of our furniture.
It suffered from the very dry weather in Chicago and a few cracks appeared after a few months. Fortunately, thanks to the dark colour of the wood coating, the cracks are not too visible.
This is why we now want to sell it, and at a discounted price.
