    You are admiring a longtime favorite of mine, as well as Murex collectors worldwide, a Pterynotus miyokoae (Kosuge, 1979), w/operculum & measuring a very nice 64.9mm and graded F++/Gem...an absolutely incredible form with beautifully flared varices & an outstanding color pattern & breathtaking markings are displayed...an exceptional, deep H2O specimen & about as perfect a specimen as I have ever seen. This beauty was collected in tangle nets at 200-300m off Balut Island, Philippines.  An amazing Muricidae species, once considered very rare & today is starting to become very difficult to acquire...it is still considered a treasure in any collection.  Thank you for visiting our store this afternoon...and an excellent choice, too.
