Hanging Apparatus for Lalique Lighting Bowls or any Four-hole Bowl - Deco Canopy

That Lalique or other French lighting bowl with FOUR mounting holes has been sitting in your closet or, perhaps worse, hanging from your ceiling with some non-original, thrown-together hanging apparatus.  Well, here’s your chance to right that grievous wrong and outfit that bowl with an apparatus worthy of the elegant and rare item that you have.
The apparatus you purchase will be custom-configured so your bowl hangs at the length you designate (within a half-inch or so).
The components I use are: a cast bronze replica of an original four-hole (plus center hole for five) French Art Deco canopy acquired in France.
These are ultra-rare, and to find one of this design caliber made the decision whether to reproduce it a “slam-dunk.”
It’s plated in a brushed (or “satin”) nickel finish, and the four brass tubes are likewise plated in brushed nickel.
The tubes’ gentle curves as they descend from the canopy add to the eye-pleasing elegance of the apparatus, as does the subtle antiquing of the canopy itself.
Bronze and brass aren’t subject to rusting or corrosion so there won’t be any decline or maintenance.
Each apparatus comes with one standard-sized socket positioned so the bulb filament hangs right around the middle of the bowl, minimizing shadows.
You can employ any size bulb you want; there’s no limit on the physical size of the bulb or its wattage.
For an extra charge of per socket, additional (candelabra) sockets can be added for a total of four (totaling a maximum of 240 watts), if you like lots of sparkle.
In these photographs, the brassy color of the canopy is the result of reflections from the incandescent bulb in the bowl, and the orange-amber color of the bowl itself.
The canopy’s measurements overall measure 4 ½ x 4 ½ inches.
However, it only covers a ceiling hole of 3 7/8 inches as a result of the indentations on its sides, so you might, depending on the size of your ceiling’s electrical box, need to fill in a little with spackle or caulk.
A “ceiling strap” for the box will be supplied with your purchase; the installation of your light should take about five minutes and require exactly one screwdriver once you have the bowl attached to the apparatus.
