Estate Of Former Governor Of NY, Alfred E. Smith and 1928 Presidential Candidate Demi-Lune Cabinet. Early 20th Century English Sheraton style cabinet featuring a wonderful burl center door with exceptional quality green center cartouche. The mahogany cabinet features paler inlay and excellent painted details. The drawer is above the cabinet and both offer flexible interior shelf enhancing storage. Purchased from Ms. Smith, his sister at their final NYC Upper Eastside apartment in the 1970’s. 55” wide x 20” deep, 34” high. Wear consistent with wear and use. There is some wear at key hole and was purchased with minor dent to left side of top there is some minor detail loss. A piece of New York History!
