This auction is for a ‘linen’ colored postcard featuring the Dyche Stadium,
Northwestern
University
in
Evanston
,
IL
, the home of the Northwestern University Wildcats.
It measures 5 ½” wide x 3 ½” high and has a note penciled to O’Dell Benton from the ‘coach.’
It says, “You had better work on your knees because I will be after you on September 3
rd
.”
Odell Benton was one of
Woodrow
Wilson
High School
’s finest running backs in 1939.
The postmark is dated August 1940.
The card was pulled from a scrapbook and is in fair to good condition (SEE IMAGES).
