You are admiring a favorite of mine, as well as Murex collectors worldwide, a Chicoreus ramosus  (Linne, 1758) measuring a very nice 229mm (or 9")...absolutely an incredible "Murex" form, highly spined with a beautiful color pattern displayed...a spectacular specimen.  Probably the most well known member of the Muricidae family & the largest, too...& always a delight to add into a collection, not to mention an excellent display piece, too for anywhere in your home or office...one of those shells that always makes me smile, maybe because it is just that special.  Thank you for visiting our store this afternoon...and an excellent choice, too.
