Beautiful sound 3 discrete head Nakamichi 681zx deck, refurbished + Video

Description

Tape transport was cleaned and greased as needed. Belt and Idler has been replaced. Orange caps in the Bias generator have been replaced. Heads cleaned and demagnitized. Pinch rollers are refurbished and original. All levels are set by service manual.
Switches and potentiometers are deoxidized and cleaned.
Plenty of high frequencies in Bias adjustments on front panel. Automatic calibration works well and verified on different brands (used few different tapes of each Type: Normal (EX), Chrome (SX) and Metal (ZX) positions). Please see video for details.
Indicator is bright and works perfect.
Dolby B and Dolby C perform very well.
Quick and quiet tape transport with high precision. Perfect recording and playback Azimuth.

Only Nakamichi 681zx deck body and attached power cord included into sale, tapes and everything else you may see on the pictures and video are not a part of a sale.
That deck was released by Nakamichi in 1981 and did cost ,600. That deck is simplified option of 682zx (removed 4 Dolby microchips to save the cost). As a result it does not have capability to listen recorded sound during recording process as it is possible on 682zx.
But that deck is a 3 head deck and has automatic calibration of Azimuth and levels. Built in 400 Hz and 15,300 Hz generators are available for fine tuning recording Bias.
Deck is 40 years old. So, NO RETURNS are accepted.
However, you may read reviews on all the other Nakamichi and not only deck I sold. I have necessary equipment and test cassetes to service tape decks.
