    Description

    Mid-century Arne Jacobsen Ant Chair 1952-60's. Early 3-leg version, very good to excellent condition.
    The metal hardware is stamped "FH Danmark"
    Arne Jacobsen designed Ant™ in 1952 as a three legged chair in the shape of a little ant with its head raised. The unusual design guaranteed the chair’s stability on uneven floors and cemented its distinct identity. Not everyone understood Ant™ at the time.
    The original patina and light marks on the chrome are as original, it probably could use a gentle cleaning. Light scratches as in photo, can be restored simply, it does not detract from the beauty of the chair. I did not want to restore the chair unless a collector or museum had requested. I am reducing my collection of Iconic chairs for new owners to enjoy.
